They knew exactly who they were appointing for the position. Don't be naive and think they did it because they thought he was a jolly fellow. It was all part of their plan to transfer as many Jews as possible from Europe to Palestine after the World War. Appointing a radical Islamist as head of the Muslims would later on "justify" their actions of stealing the land from their true owners. Dont be a fool, salamisandwech.

If Hitler really would have considered Arabs to be "inferior", he would never have shaken the Mufti's hand in public. Not even for tactical reasons. Nor would Nazis have sought refuge in Arab countries like Egypt or Syria. Some of them, like Omar von Leers, even converted to Islam. And guess what: To this very day Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" is a bestseller in Arab countries. Why would that be the case, if Arabs would not sincerely identify with Hitler and his views?
