KeADILan condemns police violence in Batu Buruk
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KeADILan) condemns the heavy handed fashion in which the police violently disrupted a peaceful gathering and talk that was scheduled for the night of 8 September in Pantai Batu Buruk, Kuala Terengganu.
Mere hours after the release of a “people friendly budget”, we are shocked that the police decided to shoot live bullets into a crowd of innocent people gathered peacefully at a talk organised by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (BERSIH).

The rising moon of Arafat plain

I was told that the sight of the moon rising when pilgrims were leaving the Arafat plain for Muzdalifah – the two places visited on their route while performing the hajj – was a sight to behold.

Huge and luminous, the rising moon is a prominent object against the backdrop of the supposedly barren desert.
